THE RIGHT TO PRACTICE MEDICINE/DENTISTRYDental/Medical Diploma does not confirm either that you are entitled topractice the dental/medical profession in Poland or that you have obtainedthe full qualifications to practice the dental/medical profession in Poland.Obtaining diploma (with the degree of “Lekarz Dentysta/Lekarz”) confirmsonly that the dental/medical studies completed in Poland are compliant to theminimal requirements regarding the recognition of the professionalqualifications presented in the art. 34 and 24 of the Directive 2005/36/EC ofthe European Parliament and of the Council.According to the Polish law, in order to obtain full qualifications leadingto obtaining the right to practice the profession, a person with the Polish “Lekarz Dentysta” or “Lekarz” degree diploma has to complete an obligatorypost-graduate internship (staz podyplomowy)that lasts 12 months (for DDS) or 18months (for MD) and pass the National Dental/Medical Exam (LDEP/LEP).In order to recognize the qualifications in another EU Member State and to begranted the full right to practice the profession of a dentist/doctor, eachcountry may impose some additional requirements dependent on the regulationsof appropriate Medical Chamber.---
